Our Senior Team
Dr Merv Lincoln
Founder (1984 – 1997)
A former world-class athlete, Merv represented Australia at both the 1956 Melbourne and 1960 Rome Olympic Games, as well as at the 1958 Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh, holding the world record for the mile during this period.
He later joined the Faculty of Melbourne University’s Graduate School of Management and went on to complete his PhD thesis “The Usefulness of Accounting Ratios to Describe Levels of Insolvency Risk”.
Dr Lincoln’s ground-breaking research into the relationship between financial health and share price performance became the framework for the creation of the Lincoln Indicators business.
Head of Managed Investments (Joined 1991)
After joining us in 1991, Tim introduced Dr Lincoln’s pioneering methodology to private share investors with the development of Stock Doctor – Australia’s premier DIY sharemarket research membership platform. He was appointed Managing Director in 1997 on Dr Lincoln’s retirement, and continues to be true to his father’s vision and purpose. To this point, Tim is responsible for the company’s overall strategic direction, business management and development. He is also a member of a variety of industry bodies including the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Financial Services Institute of Australasia, Australasian Institute of Banking and Finance, Australian Shareholders Association, Australian Institute of Credit Management, and the Risk Management Institute of Australasia.
Director of Research and Education (Joined 2003)
Initially joining Lincoln Indicators as an equities analyst, Elio now heads up the Stock Doctor research team. He is our chief educator and key media spokesman (you may recognise him from regular segments on ABC and Sky Business television networks). Elio’s role includes hosting our webinars and presenting at both industry events and investment workshops. He is also responsible for our corporate partner relations and assists with business development.
Chief Operating Officer (Joined 2007)
As a vital member of our team for over seven years, Melissa’s role includes leading the company’s main projects to completion and overseeing day to day operations. She also uses her extensive experience to contribute to the overarching strategic direction of the business.
Head of Sales
Jason joined the Lincoln team in early 2012 to lead the sales and distribution channels to the retail and corporate markets. He is the conduit between our SMSF trustees, Financial Planners and Association Groups in successfully integrating our research into their strategies and processes. His experience involves on boarding of both the self-managed and managed fund investor. Jason hosts a monthly information webinar introducing new clients to our history, methodology and high conviction approach to the markets.
Head of IT and Product Development
Sandy leads our in-house development team, responsible for the ongoing development of Lincoln Indicators’ flagship product Stock Doctor and other projects. He brings together a variety of senior staff from front-end designers, to passionate technical architects to ensure all software systems deliver above expectations.
Katrina has been with us for over eight years. Her role includes reporting to management on the company’s financial position, annual budgets and cash flow. Katrina also liaises with our external accountants and auditors, ensuring we meet all our statutory requirements.
A team that cares.
We’re proud supporters of Alzheimer’s Australia.
Alzheimer’s Australia is the peak body and charity for all types of dementia in Australia. They represent around 342,800 Australians living with dementia and an estimated 1.2 million carers. We were drawn to Alzheimer’s Australia due to their holistic approach. They provide everything from information and support, to counselling, training and education. All of this is done at no cost to the recipient.
As we like to think we’ve changed the financial market for the better, Alzheimer’s Australia is changing the way we view dementia. They are world leaders in policy, helping Australians living with dementia to be engaged, empowered and supported members of the community.
