What types of managed funds does Lincoln offer?

Australian Income Fund

The Lincoln Australian Income Fund offers a medium to a long-term income stream with a sustainable dividend yield that may include long-term capital growth. It may be suitable for investors seeking an income stream, retirees in the preservation phase and investors with SMSFs.

Australian Growth Fund

U.S. Growth Funds

The Lincoln U.S. Growth Funds are an actively managed, diversified portfolio of U.S. growth stocks. They have been created to help Australian investors spread portfolio risk by diversifying their growth stock holdings outside the Australian market. Two funds are open for investors – The Lincoln U.S. Growth Fund Hedged and Lincoln U.S. Growth Fund Unhedged. It may suit investors who are looking for strong capital appreciation over a period of five to ten years or more, international diversification and investors with SMSFs.

What are the Lincoln retail and wholesale managed funds?

Lincoln has two retail and wholesale managed funds, the Australian Income and Growth Fund. The retail funds are available to all retail investors, and the minimum investment is $5,000. The wholesale funds are only available to wholesale investors, as defined under section 761G of the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth), with a minimum investment of $250,000. The U.S. Growth Fund has two options, hedged and unhedged. They are available to retail and wholesale investors with a minimum investment of $5,000.

There is five eligibility test under which clients may be treated as a wholesale investor, summarised below:

  • Investing over $500,000 upfront;
  • Individual Wealth – Net assets of $2.5 million or gross annual income of over $250,000 shown over two financial and certified by an account;
  • Professional Investor – institutional investors with specific attributes;
  • Large Business – more than 20 employees or more than 100 employees if the business is or includes manufacturing goods;
  • Sophisticated Investors – persons that an AFSL holder has determined to be experienced in using financial services;
How are the Lincoln Funds structured?

Equity Trustees Limited ABN 46 004 031 298 AFSL 240975 is the Responsible Entity of the Lincoln Indicators managed funds. Equity Trustees has appointed Lincoln Indicators  as the investment manager of the funds –  Lincoln Australian Income Fund, the Lincoln Australian Growth Fund and the Lincoln U.S. Growth Funds.

J.P. Morgan Chase Bank (J.P. Morgan) was appointed as custodian to hold the assets of the Funds and to perform certain administrative functions in relation to the Funds.
