Our Story
Established in 1984 by former Olympian, champion runner and academic, Dr Merv Lincoln, our products are the commercial realisation of Dr Lincoln's PhD thesis on The Usefulness of Accounting Ratios to Describe Levels of Insolvency Risk, from which developed the unique Lincoln methodology.
Developed after years of industry research, Dr Lincoln's methodology uses a multivariate approach whereby a unique set of financial ratios are calculated, combined, and weighted to produce a risk score representing the overall financial health assessment of a company.
Lincoln Indicators was then established as a consultancy business, the first milestone in its corporate history. Dr Lincoln's son Tim Lincoln, an experienced computer analyst, joined the business in 1991 and developed PC-based applications of the Lincoln Indicators methodology for both corporate and retail clients. Tim Lincoln became Managing Director of Lincoln Indicators in 1997.
Today, Lincoln Indicators employs a passionate, dedicated team of specialists committed to the ongoing development of innovative and leading-edge product solutions for investors. It has been recognised with numerous awards that reflect the collective experience, expertise and industry know-how of its staff. |
