How is a Lincoln Valuation calculated?
Each Lincoln Valuation is calculated by using a weighted combination of commonly used earnings forecast valuation methods (such as capitalisation of earnings, discounted cash flow and dividend discount models). The specific weightings attributed to each valuation method vary dependent upon the industry in which the company operates. To account for extraordinary circumstances, specific weighting criteria and/or thresholds may be altered at the discretion of Lincoln's Analyst Team.
Our team of Analysts also use qualitative measures to gain a total understanding of the business to form our opinions and valuations. These include site visits, attending broker presentations and talking to the CEO and management team.
Valuations for stocks other than Star Stocks or Borderline Star Stocks
Where a stock is not deemed a Star Stock or Borderline Star Stock then a consensus target provides an indication of the anticipated stock price. The consensus target is provided by leading research houses and helps you to further determine if a stock is over or undervalued.
