Tim Lincoln

Tim Lincoln

Managing Director

Tim Lincoln joined Lincoln in 1991 and introduced Dr Lincoln's pioneering research to private share investors with the development of Stock Doctor, Australia's premier fundamental analysis research tool.

The success of Stock Doctor paved the way for the introduction of the Lincoln Australian Share Fund in March 2003, which gives investors access to Lincoln's unique financial health methodology through a professionally managed fund. Tim oversees the Managed Investments business and is an active participant and founding member of the Investment Committee. Under his leadership the Lincoln Australian Share Fund has grown to more than $100 million in funds under management.

Under Tim's guidance, Lincoln has attracted international recognition. Lincoln was invited to participate in the Global Access Program developed by the University of California in Los Angeles, to assist businesses with global potential. Tim was also selected to participate in exclusive entrepreneurial programs at Berkeley University, California.

A regular contributor to the financial press and sought-after guest speaker at specialist investment industry events, Tim was recently a Southern Region finalist in "Ernst & Young's 2007 Entrepreneur of the Year" program.

Tim holds a Diploma in Financial Markets from Financial Services Institute of Australasia (formerly Securities Institute of Australia) and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Financial Services Institute of Australasia, Australasian Institute of Banking and Finance, Australian Shareholders Association, Australian Institute of Credit Management, and the Risk Management Institute of Australasia.

Chief Executive Officer

Elio is Lincoln's Chief Executive Officer responsible for driving the strategic direction and positioning of Lincoln's business. This includes heading the research and future development of Stock Doctor.

Prior to Elio's appointment as CEO in December 2007, he held the position of Chief Operating Officer responsible for the day-to-day operational aspects of Lincoln's business and headed Stock Doctor research and future development.

As Lincoln's primary educator, Elio regularly presents at investment industry events around Australia, including education workshops for the Australian Shareholders' Association. Elio is a sought-after market analyst, media writer and commentator on programs such as ABC's Lateline Business and Sky Business programs Market Moves and Your Money Your Call and writes and presents in a style which is informative, relevant and highly engaging.

Prior to joining Lincoln in 2003 as a Stock Doctor Share Analyst, Elio was an Adviser's Consultant for National Financial Management (NAFM).

A fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australia (FINSIA), Elio has a Bachelor of Business (Economics and Finance) from RMIT and Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia. He has also completed a Diploma in Technical Analysis and is qualified as a Certified Financial Technician. He has also spoken on behalf of FINSIA at industry events.

Dr Merv Lincoln established Lincoln in 1984 as a professional consultancy to help corporates and financial institutions assess credit and financial risk.

Former Olympian and champion runner Dr Merv Lincoln boasts a distinguished career in sport, academia, the media and business. After a sporting career that included representing Australia in the 1956 and 1960 Olympics, in 1969 Dr Lincoln joined the University of Melbourne's Graduate School of Management as a senior lecturer. In 1982, during his academic tenure, Dr Lincoln completed his PhD thesis on The Usefulness of Accounting Ratios to Describe Levels of Insolvency Risk, from which Lincoln's unique financial health methodology was derived.

After retiring from the University, Dr Lincoln's focus turned towards introducing his theories to corporate Australia. A number of Australian banks commissioned Dr Lincoln to present his Financial Health methodology to senior commercial lenders and many large Australian institutions adopted his financial risk model.

Research

The Stock Doctor research team is responsible for market and company analysis, commentary and client support. The team also provides research to the Managed Investments team. Stock Doctor clients enjoy unlimited support from our team of analysts.

Dennis Ng

Research Manager

Dennis is Lincoln's Stock Doctor research manager responsible for the daily management, quality and efficient delivery of Lincoln's research to market and the overseeing of Lincoln's Research team of analysts. His role includes managing the daily research and development schedule of work required for Stock Doctor. Having joined Lincoln in 2008 as an equities analyst, Dennis has quickly redefined his position, with his exceptional knowledge of 'all things sharemarket'

Prior to joining Lincoln, he held the role of consultant at DST International for three years. Dennis has a Bachelor of Commerce and Law from the University of Melbourne, and has completed Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level 3.

Education Specialist

Simon is a highly accomplished and sought-after industry speaker. He has been helping both the experienced and novice investor for nearly two decades to invest successfully in the sharemarket.

As our Education Specialist since 2002 and Stock Doctor subscriber since 1999, Simon uses Stock Doctor to select quality stocks for his own DIY super fund. He passionately believes superior stock selection is the key to achieving outstanding sharemarket returns.

Simon regularly presents at seminars, investment conferences and expos throughout the country. Before joining Lincoln, Simon was a financial advisor with AMP for 17 years.

Managed Investments

Lincoln's Managed Investments team is responsible for managing the Lincoln Australian Share Fund. All investment decisions for the fund are made on a team basis drawing on specialist input from individual team members. Support for stock selection is provided by various external research houses, brokers and the Stock Doctor research team.
