Founded in 1984 by academic and Australian sports identity Dr Merv Lincoln, Lincoln's heritage is built on Dr Lincoln's academic research into the relationship between key accounting ratios and insolvency risk.
Dr Lincoln's son, Tim, and his passionate support team, continue to drive Dr Lincoln's vision of empowering private investors with an objective and proven intellectual framework for investing in the stock market.
Milestones and merits
| 1982 | Dr Lincoln completes his PhD thesis: 'The usefulness of accounting ratios to describe levels of insolvency risk.' |
| 1984 | Lincoln established as a professional consultancy helping corporates and financial institutions assess credit and financial risk. |
| 1991 | Tim Lincoln joins the business and develops the first software model of the Lincoln financial health methodology for corporations. |
| 1992 | Risk Manager software launched to Australian businesses. |
| 1996 | Stock Doctor software launched to private investors. |
| 1997 | Tim Lincoln becomes Managing Director assuming full management responsibility of the business. |
