Founded in 1984 by academic and Australian sports identity Dr Merv Lincoln, Lincoln's heritage is built on Dr Lincoln's academic research into the relationship between key accounting ratios and insolvency risk.

Dr Lincoln's son, Tim, and his passionate support team, continue to drive Dr Lincoln's vision of empowering private investors with an objective and proven intellectual framework for investing in the stock market.

Milestones and merits

1982 Dr Lincoln completes his PhD thesis: 'The usefulness of accounting ratios to describe levels of insolvency risk.'
1984 Lincoln established as a professional consultancy helping corporates and financial institutions assess credit and financial risk.
1991 Tim Lincoln joins the business and develops the first software model of the Lincoln financial health methodology for corporations.
1992 Risk Manager software launched to Australian businesses.
1996 Stock Doctor software launched to private investors.
1997 Tim Lincoln becomes Managing Director assuming full management responsibility of the business.
1998 Winner Telstra and Victorian Government "Small Business Awards" Pursuit of Excellence Award
2002 International recognition of Lincoln's financial health model. Tim Lincoln participates in and wins the Global Access Program International Field Study at the University of California (UCLA).
2003 Lincoln Managed Investments launched with investor directed portfolio service (IDPS) offered to existing clients
